"Die spanischen HOLOCAUST IN YOUR HEAD haben auf ihrer vierten Split-Produktion das erste Mal das Albumformat und einen schwedischen, ebenbürtigen Partner aus der Crustcore-Szene gewählt. Was diese Band so einzigartig macht, ist die herausragende Gitarrenarbeit eines Juan Carlos (ob der wirklich so heißt?), dessen Metal-Vorliebe unüberhörbar ist.

Normalerweise stören mich diese Midtempo-Phasen, aber „3.000 Agujas" ist so grandios bepackt mit subtilen Melodien und melancholischen Momenten à la FROM ASHES RISE, dass ich nicht genug davon bekommen kann.

Liegt vielleicht auch daran, dass eine Abwechslung nach zwanzig Minuten brachialen Schlagzeugs und Gesangsgekeifes durchaus willkommen ist. Cooles Zeug. Die schwedischen MOTORBREATH, seit 1996 aktiv, bieten Material aus dem Jahr 2004 an, das mich an eine derbe Mixtur an JERRY'S KIDS und MOTÖRHEAD mit Aufnahmeverfahren von Ende der 70er erinnert.

Hat durchaus seinen Reiz, nur der verzerrte Gesang nervt mich auf Dauer. Die Punkte gehen deshalb nach Spanien."

"Holocaust In Your Head (from Barcelona) crank out some heavy crust with a moderate dose of speed, as well as rock mixed in. They never veer off into blur or incoherent grunting into the mic. Instead, these guys demonstrate their power through well-structured songs that have depth. The vocals, though dry and raspy, carry their message over quite well. They can certainly pummel, but there’s a strong melody here as well. Motor Breath (Sweden) are a bit thrashier and chaotic. Definite Japanese influence, especially in the rhythm section. Starts off pretty good, but soon deteriorates into a redundant mess. If anything, pick this up for the Holocaust In Your Head side. Red vinyl as well."
